The following is a link to my wiki page:
http://froth.wikispaces.com/

After viewing the wiki tutorial I was excited to start my own wiki page. I enjoyed creating the wiki and found it fun. Although at times it was a little frustrating when I created something and when it was saved it appeared differently. I also had the problem Malya stated that her computer kept closing the internet and losing my work. All in all I enjoyed this experience.
After introducing idioms to the class I would have them log on to the site as reinforcement and practice. Students can edit the pages and add more images, examples and the origin of the idiom. I would create the same wiki for each class separately. (Each class is sure to come up with different things…. which is interesting for the teacher). I would create separate wiki pages for different courses being taught. In addition, to create a space for individual profiles would be great, so that other students and parents can view each student’s contribution. As for discussion, I think this would allow students to comment and critique each others work. This is a good way to foster sharing and working together nicely. I think this is a great tool that allows students to practice what’s being taught in a hands on and fun manner!
Thank You!
